About Friends of Queen’s Park

The Friends of Queen’s Park group was established in 2013 by local residents who use and enjoy the park. In December 2015 it was awarded Scottish Charity status with the purposes of:

1.The advancement of citizenship or community development and

2. The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended.

Its Objects are:

The advancement of citizenship and community development by way of the provision and organisation of leisure & recreational facilities and activities in and around Queens Park Glasgow with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons and communities for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended.

Funding

We are a non-profit making organisation and with no paid staff or means of income so we are very much dependent upon fundraising and donations that keep us going.
