Spotted in Queen’s Park recently are what I’m pretty sure are Common Helleborine (Epipactis helleborine) – please correct me if I’m wrong! Common Helleborine flowers July to September. Friends, we’ll be meeting again at the small pond. We are planting sweet woodruff; columbine and a rather splendid-looking betony. Lots of heavy digging and clearing still to do, but we’re getting there. Hope to see you Sunday.

Another good session, some heavy-duty digging and clearing and lots planted – pulmonaria (lungwort), geum, aquilegia and periwinkle. And more bugle, creeping Jenny and hardy geraniums. All good growers and spreaders and happy in some shade. Thanks to everyone.
